Service depot, Magdeburg

Environmental support for the new building

The new tram depot north in Magdeburg was planned as a multifunctional hall, which offers space for approx. 90 trams and is equipped with workshops, a social and office building as well as a central warehouse. In addition to the structural design and the thermal and fire protection, the planning tasks also included the preparation of the environmental documentation for the planning approval procedure. These included the environmental impact study and the landscape conservation plan. One challenge was to place the CEF, compensation, replacement and design measures in a very confined space on the depot site.
